Mario Bizzini, PhD, MSc, PT is as a research associate at the Schulthess Clinic in Zürich, Switzerland. He worked 12 years for the FIFA Medical Research and Assessment Center (F-MARC), and he is currently with the Swiss Concussion Center and the Human Performance Lab. His research interests focus on prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
Mario has at today 62 peer-reviewed publications, 5 books, and 12 book chapters on these topics, and has lectured at many international congresses. He is a reviewer for various scientific journals, Deputy Editor of the British Journal of Sports Medicine and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy.
Mario is also a specialist in sports physiotherapy (committee member of the Swiss and of the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy), a rehabilitation consultant for professional ice hockey and football/soccer teams, and has worked at three FIFA World Cups (2006, 2010, 2014), two FIFA Women’s World Cups (2007, 2015) and three Olympic Games (2008, 2012, 2016).
