Liba Sheeran is a Senior Lecturer and a Director of Doctorate of Advanced Healthcare Science and Practice at School of Healthcare Sciences, Cardiff University, United Kingdom.
Her PhD focused on investigation of motor control variations in populations of non-specific low back pain. Currently, Dr Sheeran holds an RCBC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Arthritis Research Biomechanical and Bioengineering Centre at Cardiff University exploring the links between long-standing non-specific spinal musculoskeletal pain, patients’ cognitions, movement behaviour in daily function and sports setting to develop individualised interventions using wearable technologies. In her clinical capacity Dr Sheeran is a Consultant Physiotherapist for Welsh and British Athletics working with senior and development athletes.
Her main clinical interest is in management of complex cases of chronic spinal pain in adolescents and adults. She is an expert tutor on a specialist courses on the management of complex non-specific low back pain. She lectures on behalf of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM) in the U.K.
