PhD candidate at the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Centre and University of Oslo, investigating the prevalence and severity of injuries and illnesses amongst young elite athletes.
Previously worked for several years as a medical doctor at the Ullevaal University hospital (Oslo, Norway), mainly focusing on patients with musculoskeletal problems and injuries, head injuries and rehabilitation. Worked for several years at Diakonhjemmet Hospital (Oslo, Norway) and Rikshospitalet National Hospital (Oslo, Norway) with rheumatic diseases, including both degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune diseases.
Experienced in the use of ultrasound scanning related to joints and tendons. Worked as a GP for several years and as a coach for adolescent handball players. Member of the editorial board of the Norwegian Journal of Sports Medicine and of the board of Committee of Spec. in the Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.
